Visual Arts

The Visual Art Department at 十大最大的网络彩票平台 strives to cultivate the unique artistic voices of our students and foster a culture of creative problem-solving. Our comprehensive program inspires and challenges students, encouraging them to explore their creativity and develop technical skills.

Students work with a wide range of media, including drawing, painting, photography, digital media, and more. 十大最大的网络彩票平台’s program is committed to providing courses and guidance consistent with current college preparation requirements and creative industry standards. Upon graduation, our students apply the critical thinking skills acquired in visual art courses across all fields of study.

Students can enroll in Art I during their freshman year and continue taking studio art and digital media courses throughout Upper School. Those with a strong interest in visual art may apply for our Visual Art Scholars Program.

Digital media courses integrate art fundamentals with cutting-edge creative technologies. Students use Digital SLR Nikon/Cannon cameras and gain comprehensive knowledge of Adobe programs such as Photoshop, InDesign, Lightroom, and Illustrator.

Studio art classes offer a comprehensive exploration of various mediums, including watercolor, oil painting, pastel, charcoal, and more. Students begin with foundational courses that cover essential techniques and principles, gradually advancing to more specialized and in-depth studies. In these classes, they develop their skills in different artistic mediums, learning to express their creativity and refine their personal style. 

All courses last a semester, except for Publication Design, Advanced Placement courses, and Senior Studio Portfolio Preparation, which run all year. The creative energy is vibrant, and our commitment to student achievement is paramount.
